GIRAFFLE
Free postal entry
Giraffle offers a free postal entry route as an alternative to paid entry. It is available for any competition whose Competition Rules state that free entry is enabled.
Postal address
Free postal entries are sent to:
Giraffle LtdRichmond HouseHill StreetAshton-under-LyneOL7 0PZWhen free postal entry applies
The free postal route applies only to competitions whose Competition Rules state that free entry is enabled. Always check the relevant competition's rules page to confirm that free entry is available for that competition before sending a postal entry.
These competition-specific rules apply together with Giraffle's Official Rules.
How to enter by post
Full instructions for entering a particular competition by post are provided on that competition's individual Rules page. Select the competition you wish to enter, open its Rules page and follow the Free postal entry link.
The competition-specific instructions will show the competition reference, postal address and information required for your entry. When you are signed in, your Giraffle customer reference will also be displayed.
You must include your full name, full postal address, customer reference and competition reference on your postal entry, together with your answer to the entry question where one applies.
Postal entries must be received within the applicable competition deadline and are subject to the same eligibility and entry limits as paid entries.
An email address is not required on a postal entry.
Minimum competition duration
Competitions offering free postal entry remain open for a minimum of seven full calendar days (168 hours) from their published opening time, providing a reasonable opportunity for free postal entries to be submitted. Competitions that do not offer free postal entry may run for shorter periods.
Published closing dates and draw times
We will not bring forward a competition's published closing date or draw time. This allows postal entries submitted sufficiently in advance a reasonable opportunity to arrive and be processed, provided entries remain available.
Where a competition has a maximum number of available entries, it may close to further entries when that allocation is exhausted, even if the published closing date has not yet been reached.
Equal opportunity
Valid free postal entries received and accepted before the applicable deadline participate under the same competition rules and prize-allocation mechanism as paid entries.
Neither the entry method nor the absence of payment affects the chance of winning.
Postal entry format
We accept either:
- A handwritten postcard.
- A handwritten letter enclosed in a sealed envelope.
Only one competition entry is permitted per postcard or envelope.
Postage and delivery
- Entrants are responsible for paying their own standard postage.
- Entries must be submitted through the postal service.
- Hand-delivered entries are not accepted.
- Entries must be received before the applicable competition closing deadline.
- Acceptance remains subject to available entries and the applicable competition entry limits.
Handwriting and legibility
- Entries must be handwritten and clearly legible.
- Photocopied, printed or mechanically reproduced entries are not accepted.
Duplicate and bulk entries
- Multiple postal entries are permitted, subject to the applicable per-person competition entry limit.
- Each entry must be submitted separately on its own postcard or in its own envelope.
- Duplicate copies of the same entry are not accepted.
- Multiple entries enclosed within a single envelope are not accepted.
- Each entry must independently satisfy all published postal entry requirements.
Non-compliant postal entries
Any postal entry received that has not been submitted in accordance with the postal entry requirements and conditions set out above will be disqualified and will not be entered into the relevant competition.
